How to set up a Ubuntu web server live on the internet?

I’m trying to get a web server live on the internet.I’m running ubuntu server LAMP and open sshi have that set up but i want to make the server live. i have the domain,staic ip,server. i just want a guide that will get me live on the internet the ones i’ve found only do local servers.

Well, it sounds like you have everything you need except for one thing: a domain name server for DNS resolution.

The easiest way to do this, if it’s available, is to see if the company that registered your domain name has DNS hosting service. Thet will then become the primary DNS resolver for your domain, and they can point queries to your server. There are also companies like DynDNS. Do a google on “dns hosting services” and you’ll find a ton of hits.
